Mary Clare Chiofalo

Mary Clare Chiofalo is a Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP) as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). She has been practicing Yoga and Polarity for seven years. Mary Clare teaches different types of yoga: some focus on relaxation, others strength and flexibility, others are simple meditations. She invites you to try out different classes or to contact her for personalized guidance in choosing the practice that is right for you.

 Marina Dmitrieva

A native of Moscow, Russia, Marina Dmitrieva has been a cosmetology professional for more than twenty years. Having studied in Russia and Israel as well as in the United States, she brings a wealth of international experience to Blue Firmament. Marina specializes in facials, waxes, and nail treatments. She is a graduate of The International Dermal Institute.




Margaret Fils-Aime

Blue Firmament began as the dream of Margaret Fils-Aime. Also known as "Maggie". After spending 30 years as a licensed Respiratory Therapist aiding those in need, Margaret decided to take a more personal and community-centered approach to health care. As one of many health practitioners who are aware of the benefits of holistic health care, Margaret wanted to share this information with as many people as possible. Blue Firmament is the result of her desire to meet like-minded individuals who share the common goal of making themselves, their community, and their world a better place.

 

 


 Evangeline Houlihan

Evangeline teaches a breath centered vinyasa style of Hatha yoga that is vigorous and designed to stretch and strengthen the body.  Using the valuable tools of yoga: pranayama, meditation and a strong asana practice, one can burn the  impurities trapped in the physical body bringing you back to a state of oneness.  Let the light of perfection that is always within you shine forth!

 

Evangeline received her 200 hour teacher certificate from the Yoga Polarity Center in Malverne and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Evangeline has completed her 500 hour teacher training



Diane Orzo-Liss


Diane Orzo-Liss is an April 1998 graduate of the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy. She received her license shortly thereafter and has practiced massage full-time since then. Diane also has certificates in prenatal massage, Reflexology, Reiki 1 & 2, and Fusion: a Synergy of Physical and Energy bodywork.

Her massages are geared toward the individual, and usually include a combination of Swedish, medical, deep-tissue, and energy. These different modalities are all designed to bring balance, stress and/or pain relief, along with relaxation to her clients.

Sandesh Kaur                                                                                            

It’s not about what you know, it’s about what you share with others.  The teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan (The Master of Kundalini Yoga) have deeply touched Sandesh Kaur’s life.  This light of awareness her teachers shared with her is something sacred that guides Sandesh Kaur as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. She was taught to op en her heart, set the foundation and to always be as s not about what you know, it’s about what you share with others.  The teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan (The Master of Kundalini Yoga) have deeply touched Sandesh Kaur’s life.  This light of awareness her teachers shared with her is something sacred that guides Sandesh Kaur as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. She was taught to op en her heart, set the foundation and to always be asone. It is her deepest honor and grace to share these teachings with others--to bring people in where she can and give them the opportunity to live healthy, happy, holy lives.  Favorite Yogi Bhajan quote: “The fact is that there is nothing more beautiful, more worthy or more conscious than you.”

 



 Lisa Braun

Lisa Braun is a certified yoga teacher who began to practice as a way to maintain flexibility and strength. During her journey she discovered not just the physical but spiritual practice of Yoga.  In 2008, she made the decision to become a teacher enrolled in the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program and received her certification in 2009. She is now a student in the 500 Yoga Teacher Training program to be completed in 2010.

Lisa’s desire is to bring not only the physical and spiritual aspects of Yoga to her students but to teach them to relieve stress and anxiety in their lives. Her style is Hatha, and likes to keep the body moving with a vinyasa flow. A good Hatha practice shapes the body with its power and strength but also allows for moments of rest and reflection.  

Lisa believes that Yoga is the key to the balance of the connection between body and mind.   She hopes that her students can achieve physical and spiritual balance in her class and they sustain that awareness in their everyday lives.



Victoria Smith


Victoria Smith received her 200 hours yoga certification from the Yoga and Polarity Center in Malverne, New York. She currently offers Hatha Yoga classes at Blue Firmamental and various other locations.
Vicky believes yoga is a powerful vehicle for self-discovery and a deeper connection to spirit. She longs to share that experience with others and hopes to pass on the resulting sense of well being she herself experiences through yoga.
